Register or Verify Your Registration

You must be registered to vote in Idaho. Check your status or register online through the Idaho Secretary of State’s voter portal. Idaho allows same-day voter registration at the polls on election day.

To register, you must be:

  • A U.S. citizen
  • At least 18 years old on election day
  • A resident of Idaho and of your county for at least 30 days before the election

You will need:

  • An Idaho driver’s license or state-issued ID number, or
  • The last four digits of your Social Security number

Registering at the polls on election day requires photo ID and proof of Idaho residence.

Absentee Ballot

Any registered voter in Idaho may request an absentee ballot. Requests must be received by the Latah County Clerk by the deadline published for this election. Completed ballots must be returned by election day. Current deadlines are posted by the Latah County Elections office.

What to Bring on Election Day
  1. A valid photo ID — Idaho driver's license, state ID card, U.S. passport, military ID, or tribal ID.
  2. Your current address. If you've moved since registering, update your registration at voteidaho.gov or register at your polling place on election day.
  3. Know your polling place. Use the polling place lookup if you’re unsure.
First-time voters. If you are voting for the first time in Latah County, you may be asked to show additional identification. See registration requirements at voteidaho.gov, or contact the Latah County Clerk’s office with questions about what is accepted.

The Ballot Measure

The November 3, 2026 ballot will include a question on the Future Moscow Plant Facility Levy. The question below was adopted by the Board of Trustees on August 26, 2026.

Official Ballot Question

Shall the Board of Trustees of School District No. 281, Latah County, State of Idaho (the “District”) be authorized and empowered, upon the affirmative vote of sixty percent (60%) of the electors of the District voting in the election, to levy a School Plant Facilities Reserve Fund Levy in the amount of up to Nine Million Three Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars ($9,370,000) per year for seven (7) years for the fiscal years beginning July 1, 2027 and ending June 30, 2034, for the purposes permitted by law for school plant facilities levies, including, but not limited to, (1) renovating and expanding the existing middle school to serve as a high school campus and adding career technical education and performing arts spaces, (2) renovating the existing Russell school building for administrative offices and alternative high school programs, (3) replacing the HVAC systems at Lena Whitmore Elementary School?

The following information is required by Section 34-914, Idaho Code:

The estimated average annual cost to the taxpayer on the proposed levy is a tax of $280 per $100,000 of taxable assessed value, per year, based on current conditions.

The proposed levy would be assessed for 7 years.
